Marianne McFarland, D.V.M., received her B.S. from Boston College in 1976 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University in 1981. A life-long summer resident of Cape Cod, Dr. McFarland made a permanent move from Boston in 1982 to become an associate and later a partner at Hyannis Animal Hospital, where she concentrates on general veterinary medicine, surgery, and preventive care. Now a confirmed Cape Codder, she and her family share their home with four vivacious canines, Tillie, Tuff, Taz, and Snoop Dogg.

A native of Cape Cod, Paul McCartin, D.V.M. received his B.S. from the University of Vermont in 1988 and his veterinary degree from Tufts University in 1992.  After five years as a teacher and practitioner of internal medicine at VCA South Shore in Weymouth, he returned to Cape Cod with his wife and children to practice general veterinary medicine and surgery at Hyannis Animal Hospital. In 2002 he joined Dr. Venezia and Dr. McFarland as a partner in the practice. His special interests are diagnostic cytology, ultrasound, oncology and soft tissue and orthopedic surgery.  He enjoys spending free time with his family, their cat and two dogs.

Danielle Smith, D.V.M., earned a B.S. from the University of Vermont in 1999 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Purdue University in 2003.  Raised in central Massachusetts, Dr. Smith moved to Cape Cod in June of 2003 to join Hyannis Animal Hospital as an associate in general veterinary medicine and surgery, with a special interest in ultrasonography.  Her personal interests include horseback riding, skiing, and running, as well as relaxing with friends, family, and her two dogs Matti and Guiness.

All of the veterinarians at Hyannis Animal Hospital, Inc., are active members of the American Veterinary Medical Association and keep current with advances in general and specialized veterinary medicine, diagnostic and surgical procedures, and medical technology through participation at annual and bi-annual professional conferences and ongoing professional education programs.
