Dr. Larry Venezia
Dr. Venezia is a 1976 Graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. After 33 years of practice his focus is still on improving his veterinary skills at every opportunity. Dr. Venezia is PennHip certified, a member of the AVMA and a member of the cape cod veterinary association. He has a special interest in canine breeding and reproduction. His interests include wildlife preservation, sailing and local sports. Dr. Venezia lives in Yarmouthport with his wife Nancy, his two dogs Joe and Willow, and his cat Woody.
Dr. Marianne McFarland
Marianne McFarland, DVM received her B.S. degree from Boston College in 1976 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Cornell University in 1981. A life-long summer resident of Cape Cod, Dr. McFarland made a permanent move from Boston in 1982 to become an associate and later a partner at Hyannis Animal Hospital, where she concentrates on general veterinary medicine, surgery and preventative care. Now a confirmed Cape Codder she sharing her home with four vivacious canines, Tillie, Tuff, Taz and Snoopy.
Dr. Paul McCartin
Dr. Paul McCartin grew up on Cape Cod and graduated from Barnstable High School in 1982. He graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of Vermont in 1986, and with a veterinary degree from Tufts University in 1992. After completing an internship, he was a senior medicine clinician and taught interns at VCA South Shore, a referral and specialty clinic in Weymouth, MA. In 1997 he moved back to Cape Cod to practice at Hyannis Animal Hospital. Dr. McCartin's special interests include ultrasound, oncology, and orthopedic surgery. In his spare time Dr. McCartin enjoys spending time with his family and fishing, coaching soccer and baseball, and playing the guitar(poorly).
Dr. Danielle Smith
Dr. Smith joined Hyannis Animal Hospital in 2003. She is a graduate of the University of Vermont 1999, and Purdue University Veterinary School in 2003. Her special interests include Internal Medicine, advanced ultrasound and oncology. Outside the hospital she enjoys Yoga, skiing and her dogs Buoy and Matti.
Dr. Kevin Smith
Dr. Smith joined Hyannis Animal Hospital in July of 2006. He is 1998 graduate of the University of Vermont, and a 2002 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania college of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Smith started practice in Burlington Vermont in 2002. In 2004 He joined Roberts Animal Hospital (Hanover, MA) as an emergency veterinarian. He maintains a special interest in emergency medicine and surgery. He enjoys fishing and scuba diving in his time out of the office.
Dr. Melanie Bikis
Dr. Bikis joined the HAH team in May 2009. She is a 2004 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, School of Veterinary Medicine. Before practicing here, she worked in California and Maryland. As a native New Englander, she is happy to be back in Massachusetts, closer to her family. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time running, kayaking, swimming, and taking long walks with her yellow lab.
Dr. Amanda Corbisiero
Dr. Corbisiero joined Hyannis Animal Hospital in May 2010. Born and raised in the Adirondacks of upstate New York, Amanda received her Bachelors in Animal Science from Cornell University in 2004. She went on to earn her DVM in 2009 from the University of Illinois. Upon graduation, Dr. Amanda moved to south eastern Massachusetts and eventually made her way to Cape Cod as a “Wash-A-Shore.” Dr. Amanda has interests in internal medicine, reproduction, and oncology. In her spare time, Amanda enjoys running, hiking, spending time at the beach, and riding around the Cape in her Wrangler. Dr. Amanda lives in West Yarmouth with her rambunctious yellow Labrador “Orvis” who is perfect for her active lifestyle.
