Dr. Larry Venezia
Dr. Venezia is a 1976 Graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. After 37 years of practice his focus is still on improving his veterinary skills at every opportunity. Dr. Venezia is PennHip certified, He has a special interest in canine breeding and reproduction. Professional goals include keeping up to date on anything that allows him to improve patient care. His interests include preserving the bond between dedicated dog and cat owners and their pets, wildlife preservation, sailing and local sports. Dr. Venezia lives in Yarmouthport with his wife Nancy, his dogs Sanders, Cam, and his cat Winky.
Dr. Paul McCartin
Dr. Paul McCartin grew up on Cape Cod and graduated from Barnstable High School in 1982. He graduated with a degree in Biology from the University of Vermont in 1986, and with a veterinary degree from Tufts University in 1992. After completing an internship, he was a senior medicine clinician and taught interns at VCA South Shore, a referral and specialty clinic in Weymouth, MA. In 1997 he moved back to Cape Cod to practice at Hyannis Animal Hospital. Dr. McCartin’s special interests include ultrasound, oncology, and orthopedic surgery. In his spare time Dr. McCartin enjoys spending time with his family and fishing, coaching soccer and baseball, and playing the guitar(poorly).
Dr. Danielle Smith
Dr. Smith joined Hyannis Animal Hospital in 2003. She is a graduate of the University of Vermont 1999, and Purdue University Veterinary School in 2003. Her special interests include Internal Medicine, advanced ultrasound and oncology. Outside the hospital, she enjoys Yoga, skiing and her dog Buoy.
Dr. Kevin Smith
Dr. Smith joined the HAH team in 2006 and became a partner of the hospital in 2016. His education includes an undergraduate degree from UVM, and a Veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2002. Dr. Smith spent 2 years in Vermont in a small animal practice, 2 years at Roberts Animal Hospital (Hanover, MA) as an emergency veterinarian prior to moving to Cape Cod. His main focus is surgery, including orthopedics, surgical oncology, emergency, oral and reconstructive surgery. He enjoys skiing and scuba diving in his time out of the office.
Dr. Amanda Corbisiero
Dr. Amanda Corbisiero joined the Hyannis Animal Hospital family in 2010. Originally from the Adirondacks of New York State, Dr. Amanda realized her love for animals at a young age. She began her career in high school working at her local veterinary hospital. She then went on to receive her Bachelors in Animal Science from Cornell University in 2004 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from University of Illinois in 2009. During her time at Hyannis Animal Hospital, Dr. Amanda has found a passion for dermatology and internal medicine. Dr. Amanda’s paramount concern is the health of her patients and the satisfaction of their owners. When Dr. Amanda is not at HAH she enjoys spending time with her husband, children and furbabies.
Dr. Brianna Gilman (Previously Dr. Carey)
Dr. Carey joined Hyannis Animal Hospital in 2015. She received her BS in Animal Science from the University of Rhode Island and her DVM from Tufts University. She has special interests in surgery, dentistry, ultrasound and preventative medicine. As a “washashore” from the Worcester area, she has loved becoming a member of the Cape Cod community.
In her free time, Dr Carey enjoys showing her horse in the jumper ring, hiking, exploring the Cape, and live music. She shares her home with her husband Tyler, pit bull Pearl, and horse Morning Glory.
Dr. Ashley Stancil
Originally from North Carolina, Dr. Ashley Stancil earned her Bachelors of Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Masters of Science in Entomology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Dr. Stancil continued at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Upon completion, Dr. Stancil did a small animal internship at Cape Cod Referral and Emergency Center. Dr. Stancil stayed on at C.A.R.E. as an emergency doctor, then spent 7 years in general practice on the lower cape before joining our team at Hyannis Animal Hospital in Sept 2015.
Dr. Jesse Lane
Dr. Jesse Lane joined Hyannis Animal Hospital in 2017. She grew up in Norwood, Massachusetts and spent her childhood coming down the Cape where her mother grew up. She received her Bachelors in Biology from Connecticut College and spent several years working at local animal shelters before attending veterinary school at Tufts University. Dr. Lane loves developing long term relationships with her patients and clients and has special interests in behavior, internal medicine, and pain management. When she is not at HAH, she enjoys spending time with her husband, loud Beagle, and four lovable cats.
Dr. Savannah Lloyd-Seaboyer
Dr. Savannah Lloyd-Seaboyer joined the HAH family in 2017. She received her B.S. degree from the University of Massachusetts and her DVM from Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. Afterward, Dr. Lloyd-Seaboyer completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital. Her interests include ultrasound, dentistry, and preventative care. In her free time, she enjoys fishing, kayaking, and relaxing with her husband and dogs.
Dr. Kaitlin Zelman, VMD
Dr. Kaitlin Zelman grew up in Barnstable and graduated from Cape Cod Academy. She then went on to receive her undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University and spent many summers working at Hyannis Animal Hospital as a veterinary technician. After receiving her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Zelman returned home to Cape Cod to rejoin the Hyannis Animal Hospital team. While she loves all aspects of medicine, her special interests include surgery and behavior. Recently, she completed her Fear Free Certification and looks forward to applying this new knowledge in order to make veterinary visits less stressful for animals and owners alike. When she is not working, Dr. Zelman enjoys spending time with her family, her dog Penelope, and her cat Priscilla.
Dr. Mary-Lee Gifford
Dr. Gifford grew up in Southeastern Massachusetts. She earned her BS from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Gifford is Fear Free Certified and has special interests in feline medicine, surgery, and preventative care. Professional goals include forming collaborative relationships with clients to keep their animal companions healthy!
Dr. Gifford has two cats, Skunk and Bristol. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, reading, going to the beach, and spending time with her family.
